S/Sgt Peters was like many of his breatheran of the Vietnam War,
caring, considerate liberators who were loved by the vetnamese
people. While being part of a large group of soldiers to serve his
country proudly, he was also part of a group of men and woman who
made the ultimate sacrifice trying to bring the freedom we take for
granted to people he had never met.
S/Sgt Laurence V Peters died as a result of a land mine April 20,
1966. He was 33 years old and left a wife and three children-9, 8
and 2 1/2 yrs. He was a true American Hero and representative of
those sent over to Vietnam by the Untied States. More importantly,
those soldiers are STARK CONTRAST to those soldiers repesented in
John Kerry's account.
